At the 2017 IAAF World Championships, held in London, England on August 12th, the Japanese men's national track team took third place in the 4x100 relay. Representing his country for the first time, KGU runner and lead-off man, Shuhei Tada, had a superb starting dash and clocked 10.08 in his section of the race. Japan's final time of 38.04 seconds was good enough for bronze behind the United Kingdom and the United States, which won gold and silver, respectively.
